Alternative (Progressive) History of the World

July 10, 2008 · 1 Comment

Examining the cause of ALL the world’s ills.

Prior to July 4, 1776, not a single person in the world starved, got sick, worked hard for a living, or experienced any pain and anxiety. No one had ever been oppressed or unfairly exploited because the oppressive and unfair American system had not yet been created.

Since the beginning of time employment had been equally guaranteed to anyone who cared to work, along with an equal pay of exactly $1,000 a week regardless of outcome, occupation, or the geographical area. All work was equally pleasant and enjoyable. Those who chose not to work also received $1,000 a week in unemployment compensation and Union benefits. Other guaranteed people’s rights included the right to housing and free universal health care, as well as the right to 100% literacy through federally funded public education.

Problem is, I can’t tell if it’s a parody……..

A use for a Che t-shirt other than as a pitiable prop used by upper middle-class white boys wanting to appear cool and revolutionary while desperately trying to get laid.

Jealous?  Want your own Che stuff?  Well, visit Che-Mart, estupido!  Where many, many fine apparels of great tastiness to clueless gringos can be found.

And of course, the one item most recommended by the Expat Texan team of elite shopping advisors:

Continuing our Communist Theme

June 26, 2008 · No Comments

Irony so deep you can drown in it.

Mike Klonsky, the Maoist Hardliner, Obama supporter and former best friend of the Weatherman terrorist group founders William Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn, received a $175,000 grant from the William Ayers/Barack Obama-led Annenberg Challenge to run the Small Schools Workshop.

Klonsky belonged to the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) and was best friends with William Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn who later became famous for their acts of terrorism when the SDS broke up and the Weathermen terror group was formed.

Between 1979 and 1981, Communist Party (Marxist-Leninist) (CPML) chairman and Obama supporter Mike Klonsky was repeatedly feted with state-dinner-level visits to Beijing.

Yesterday, Klonsky was posting a blog on the Obama website:

But, that was yesterday.

Today his blog was removed from the Obama website.
Comrade Klonsky is no longer with us.

“Uncle Joe”, a hero of Klonsky’s, airbrushed millions of people.  And by airbrushed I mean killed - but I digress.  Now he’s been quietly removed from the Obama website, as Barack desperately tries to hide any signs of his hard leftist leanings.

The official theme song for the Obama campaign should be “Another One Bites The Dust”.

Out Maoing Mao

“there is no real freedom of speech if the media do not provide an outlet for other viewpoints more nearly equal to the outlet they reserve for their own.”

The idiocy just gets deeper and deeper.

In the Name of Our Savior (Obama, Stupid)

Stop the Smears!

My favorite:

SMEAR #1. If elected President, Obama promised his supporters he will add Che Guevera to Mount Rushmore.
TRUTH: Obama will add Lenin.

Via Curmudgeonly and Skeptical, which should be a daily stop on your blog journies.

Birds of a Feather

June 13, 2008 · No Comments

Eh, you know the rest.

Via LGF. Those Obama elite smear eradicators are gonna have their hands full, what with Che Guevara associations and his brother assuring Jews that Barack will be good for them, despite his Muslim background.

Question:  Is a smear still a smear if it’s true?

Racists

May 22, 2008 · No Comments

Hiding behind the shield of calling others racist.

As an educator, I refused to be complicit in a curriculum that engendered racial hostility, irresponsibly demeaned America’s civil institutions, undermined our public servants, discounted any virtues in Western civilization and taught disdain for American sovereignty.
When I raised these concerns, I was told that I was a “racist,” despite being Hispanic. Acknowledging my heritage, the Raza studies staff also informed me that I was a vendido, the Spanish term for “sellout.”
The Southwestern US has a huge illegal immigration problem on its hands - a problem that is getting worse by the day.  Michelle Malkin, among others, has been instrumental in trying to fight congressional efforts to open our borders via “amnesty” at a grassroots level. But the supporters of open borders are relentless - especially when there’s a whole new voter demographic at stake.
I was a little surprised when, while looking for a gadget for my dad, I got this from my entry of bestbuy.com in the url window:
It’s OK for Canada - there’s 2 official languages for this country.  But for the US?  We have one official language, and that language in English.  If you’re not willing to assimilate into the culture enough to learn the language - how can you expect to function within the society?  The answer, of course, is that the more militant view is for Mexico to take back the land that was “stolen” from them when Mexico signed the treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo in 1848.  I know what you’re thinking - how is it stealing when the land was ceded as part of a peace treaty, involving the US paying Mexico $15 million dollars AND assuming another 3.5 million in Mexican debt in exchange for the land?  Well, best not to ask those kind of questions, and just accept at face value that the land was stolen and should be returned to La Raza.

Tantrum Sighted

May 4, 2008 · No Comments

Unhappy with Boris Johnson’s victory, the Muslim Public Affairs Committee UK unleashes what they must think is a devastating attack on his ability to govern - showing pictures of him with Jews.  Scandalous!

Presumably, this photo of “Red” Ken Livingstone posing with Islamist Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi, the “spiritual leader” of the Muslim Brotherhood, is more to their liking.

For more on Red Ken’s friends, read this:

Most comments on the debate note that Yaqoob, who supports the introduction of Sharia law, excused the attacks of 9/11 and 7/7 by claiming they were provoked by American (and British) actions in the Muslim world. She said of this: “Do you expect us not to fight back?” Gandalf stated that she compared the Coalition forces to Crusaders and claimed the US invaded Iraq only in the pursuit of oil. As Gandalf writes: “Dr Pipes corrected her on this point and she did not reply to his statement. This ladies (sic) attitude was venomous and hateful and I am certain that I was not the only one that picked up on that.”

Salma Chadha notes that: “If Mayor Livingstone did not elect to call his invited guest Dr. Pipes a racist or an Islamophobe himself, his debate partner, Councillor Salma Yaqoob of Birmingham, had no trouble doing so, even if this meant distorting the American scholar’s remarks and extensive written record. For example, Councillor Yaqoob identified Dr. Pipes as a presidential advisor and proponent of the Bush administration’s Iraq policy, assertions that as Dr. Pipes pointed out, have no basis in fact.”

Ms. Chadha described Yaqoob’s demeanor as “shrill, demagogic”. Hoffman states: “Predictably she attacked Pipes for evading ‘the history of Western colonialism in the Middle East’ and ‘the attempt of the US neocons to remold the Middle East in their own image’.”

Ami, writing on Harry’s Place notes that in the “question and answer” session, Ken Livingstone “got the biggest groan of the day, when he answered a question about supporting moderate Muslims by saying he supported the progressive Qaradawi, the strongest force for modernization in Islam today. He said: I don’t agree with him on homosexuality, but he is the future! Up till then, his main address had been very judicious and politic: you could agree with parts, disagree with much, but still entertain his arguments. Now he descended into the loony Ken persisting in defending the indefensible. This elicited forceful responses from Pipes and others about what Qaradawi stands for.”

May Day Massacre

May 3, 2008 · No Comments

Indeed.

Ironic, isn’t it, that Red Ken gets destroyed on the day most holy to Che worshipers everywhere?

More than 300 extra councillors - three times as many gains as the LibDems.  A 44% share of the national vote.  Not only Labour defeated but clueless as to how they might recover.  A majority of Westminster insiders now (for the first time) predicting Tory victory at the next General Election.

Read this as well - concerning the battle between extremist and moderate Muslims for the soul of London. Unsurprisingly, the extremists backed Red Ken.  Sorry for the long insert - go read the entire thing, it’s worth the effort.

But this Mayoral election has three important lessons for politicians in general and the Conservative Party in particular.

First, there’s no such thing as the Muslim block vote, to be delivered up to suitably grateful candidates by key special interest groups.  Very many Muslims will have voted for Boris on Thursday.  While I was in Reading last Saturday canvassing with Muslim Conservatives from Wycombe, other local Wycombe Muslims were campaigning in London with David and Boris.  They were part of a bigger force led during recent weeks by my colleague Baroness Warsi, Syed Kamall, and London Muslim councillors.  It’s significant that Muslim Conservatives are now able to hit the streets in growing numbers – a sign of how the Party is changing and of how our support is widening.

Members of this force were the target, like Boris, of vicious personal assault by separatists.  Much of it was conducted (and vigorously contested) by e-mail.  This whole campaign seems to have backfired in some quarters.  Reports have emerged of exasperated Muslims protesting against the politicisation of their mosques by pro-Livingstone campaigners.  British Muslims come from a wide variety of religious, national, ethnic and linguistic backgrounds.  It’s patronising and insulting to assume that they are a single compliant entity, passively awaiting voting instructions from the Muslim Brotherhood or anyone else.

Second, Muslims’ concerns as voters are much the same as other people’s – safer streets, better transport, transparency, value for money.  Muslims want to practice their religion.  They don’t believe that this means voting for extremism.  We must remain a warm home for mainstream Islam and a cold place for separatism, whether based on religion or race.

Third, a candidate can endure attacks by the MAB, the BMI, Muslims 4 Ken – and other separatists – rise above them, build a broad coalition, and win.  He or she doesn’t have to – as Livingstone did – collaborate in the building-up of extremism.  Boris will govern in London for people from all religious backgrounds and none.  His is a famous Conservative win, and it will help community cohesion as a whole.

Let’s see - pandering to an extremist element versus trying to make sound policy that benefits everyone - why do so many of our politicians still migrate to the first choice?
